- Aug 2008: G-QSAR: PCT patent published
VLife's technology for group based QSAR was published under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) on July 24, 2008; PCT publication number WO 2008/087658 A2.
VLife's G-QSAR technology, featured in the QSARPro product, provides hints for sites or fragments of improvement in the molecule by considerations of molecular fragment contributions and interaction between fragments. The descriptor ranges for substituents or fragments are used to search for new groups or fragments leading to design of novel molecules with improved activity or property.
- Aug 2008: VLife Technologies & International Insitute for Bioinformatics, Navi Mumbai, jointly organized a two-day workshop on 'Advances in Computer Aided Drug Design Methods' on 22-23 August 2008. More than 20 participants from various college from Navi Mumbai, and Pune attended the workshop.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) renews their research contract with VLife for one more year. RIL and VLife have come together to characterize and develop novel catalysts for olefin polymerization. The latest effort will focus on ethylene oligomerization using Chromium catalysts.
